Netflix has given fans their first proper glimpse of the chaos set to unfold in the next season of Inside UK — and the opening teaser already features one of the most bizarre moments imaginable: a rat calmly settling itself on the head of former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall.

The streaming giant released the first trailer for the third season of the hit reality format ahead of its return on 23 March, offering a brief but memorable look at the challenges awaiting a brand-new lineup of contestants.

Produced by Sidemen Productions, Inside UK has quickly grown into one of Netflix’s most popular reality series in Britain. The show drops a group of internet personalities and TV favourites into a shared house where they must complete a series of challenges that directly affect a huge collective prize pot.

Every decision matters.

Perform well, and the prize grows. Panic under pressure, and thousands can disappear in seconds.

Season three introduces another eclectic mix of personalities moving into the “Inside” house. Among the names revealed in the first teaser are YouTuber Saffron Barker, reality TV favourite Chloe Ferry, comedian Alfie Buttle and content creator Marlon Lundgren.

But the trailer also saves a surprise for viewers.

Two more contestants are unveiled mid-clip: former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall and reality star Indiyah Polack.

Their introduction comes with a challenge that would test even the calmest competitors — being placed in a room filled with rats.

The footage shows Hall sitting calmly as the rodents climb around him, including one particularly bold rat that ends up perched directly on his head. For a man known for lifting extraordinary weights and competing in some of the most physically brutal strength contests on the planet, the moment appears to be little more than a mild inconvenience.

Hall looks unfazed as the rats scurry around.

His fellow contestant, however, has a very different reaction.

Polack quickly makes it clear that the situation is far from comfortable. As the animals move around the room, her panic escalates — and in the format of Inside UK, emotional reactions can come with a serious financial cost.

In the teaser, her discomfort ultimately results in the contestants losing £10,000 from the shared prize pot.

Unlike traditional reality competitions, where individuals play purely for themselves, Inside UK forces contestants to constantly weigh their actions against the impact on the group’s potential winnings. One mistake can wipe out huge amounts of money, creating tension between housemates and turning even simple tasks into pressure-filled events.

That formula has proven a huge success for Netflix.

Since its debut, the show has frequently climbed to the top of the platform’s UK charts and built a loyal following online. Clips from challenges regularly circulate across social media, with fans dissecting every decision contestants make as the prize fund rises — or crashes.

The combination of high-stakes challenges, big personalities and unpredictable reactions has made Inside UK one of the platform’s most talked-about British reality formats.

Season three looks set to continue that trend.

With a cast blending internet creators, comedians and reality TV personalities, the dynamic inside the house promises to be as unpredictable as ever. The teaser suggests the challenges will once again push contestants well outside their comfort zones — whether that means confronting fears, keeping composure under pressure or resisting the urge to panic when thousands of pounds are on the line.

And if the first trailer is anything to go by, viewers can expect plenty of memorable moments along the way.

After all, it’s not every day you see a rat casually making itself at home on the head of one of the strongest men on the planet.

Fans won’t have long to wait to see how the chaos unfolds.

Inside UK season three launches on Netflix from 23 March.
