When a four-time World’s Strongest Man meets one of the internet’s most chaotic streamers, you know sparks are going to fly.

That’s exactly what happened when Brian Shaw and iShowSpeed linked up for a video that had fans in stitches — and left Speed struggling to keep up with the sheer size and strength of the 6’8” strongman legend.

The video began with Speed and his team arriving at Shaw’s personal gym, where the 4x WSM introduced Speed to a staple of grip training: York Blob weights — chunky, awkward dumbbell heads that test pure hand strength.

Despite his usual high-energy determination, Speed tapped out at an impressive 80 pounds – certainly better than the average man. That opened the door for two of Speed’s security guards to battle it out for bragging rights, but even they looked ordinary once Shaw casually strolled in. The strongman — who has lifted Atlas Stones heavier than most cars — made the contest look like child’s play, with Speed joking that he “makes it look like a paperclip”.

Next came an arm wrestling lesson. Shaw, who has trained with elite professionals and is now competing (and dominating) arm-wrestling tables, set up Speed for a crash course in technique.

What followed was a comedy masterclass. Speed threw every ounce of his energy into trying to move Shaw’s arm, even peeling off his shirt mid-match for extra power. But Shaw didn’t budge an inch. The strongman legend could only laugh as Speed shouted and strained.

It was fun rather than fierce — and fans loved watching the two worlds collide.

Speed was floored again when he learned that Shaw wears size 18 sneakers, shaking his head in disbelief at the sheer scale of the strongman. At 6’8” and well over 400lbs during his competition prime, Shaw has long been one of the largest men in strength sports history.

In the comments, viewers couldn’t get enough of the unlikely duo. Many praised how genuine the video felt, with Speed and his team clearly enjoying themselves — while Shaw’s humility and good humor made him just as popular as his strength.

“Never in a 100 years would I think we would get to see Brian and Speed in a video,” one person wrote. A second added: “You can see that Speed’s staff really enjoyed this segment as well.”

“Brian is the definition of a friendly giant dude compliments everyone and just is a kind person,” wrote a third, with a fourth commenting: “Brian just seems like such a genuinely good guy. He’s so nice to everyone, to be as competitive as he is but maintain that is really impressive.”

For Brian Shaw, who retired from professional strongman in 2023 but continues to grow his Shaw Strength brand and host the Shaw Classic, the collab shows his appeal goes far beyond competition. For Speed, it’s another in a long line of sporting crossovers that have taken him from gaming streams to global recognition.

Together, they delivered exactly what fans expected: strength, chaos, comedy!
