Strongman star Evan Singleton has confirmed that surgery on his torn pectoral tendon was a success, after being forced to withdraw from the remainder of the 2025 season — including the highly anticipated Rogue Invitational.

Singleton, known for his explosive performances and trademark intensity on the competition floor, first revealed the devastating news in an emotional video captioned: “An unfortunate update for the remainder of the 2025 season…”

“The past week I have suffered a ruptured pectoral tendon in my left arm. And it is completely detached, so I am going to need surgery,” he told fans.

The 33-year-old announced that the injury would rule him out of the Rogue Invitational and likely sideline him for several months.

The news comes as a shock to fans, as Singleton had recently been featured in the public eye – taking part in Eddie Hall’s Battle of the Beasts in Malta and making an appearance alongside Brian Shaw in MrBeast’s latest video.

“I will do the same thing that I always do: I will recover. I will rehab,” Singleton said. “I will bounce back as fast as I can, as smart as I can, and I will come back to Strongman for the 2026 season ready to redeem myself.”

While Singleton didn’t rule out appearing at next year’s Arnold Strongman Classic (March 6–7, 2026) or the World’s Strongest Man, he admitted his recovery timeline makes both events uncertain.

Shoutout To Eddie Hall

During his announcement, Singleton made a point to thank Eddie Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man champion, for stepping up behind the scenes to support him through the process.

“Because he comes from a background where he’s been doing this for years, and he’s been in the position that I’ve been in. And he understands how important it is and how serious it needs to be taken.”

“Eddie Hall definitely needs to be recognised as somebody who looks after his people, because he’s gone above and beyond,” Singleton said. “He has been in contact with me every single day.”

He ended the original video with a message to his fans:

“Thank you guys for your support, I kinda need it now more than ever.”

“Surgery Was A Success”

In a new update post, Singleton confirmed that the operation went smoothly — and that the long road to recovery has officially begun.

“Surgery was a success. Tendon is completely reattached and the road to recovery has officially began,” he wrote. “Huge shoutout to @321gomd for being my surgeon and guiding me through the process and making it as easy as possible along with actually really caring and making sure I know that he’s invested in not only my operation but also my rehab and recovery.”

“Another huge shoutout to my coach @greekgoliath and my rock @andreaxmassih for being by my side and supporting me in the absolute best way I need. Niko opened up his home to me to rest up for a couple of days post op and we’re game planning the future with rehabbing and getting me back to better than ever,” the post continued.

“Andrea [has been] by my side constantly and making sure that every little thing is taken care of so all I have to do is focus on getting better. I wouldn’t be nearly in as good of a place mentally without you guys. Thank you so much.”

“All of this wouldn’t have been possible with my sis @kate_a_tron for finding Dr. Rockett and setting everything up. I love you sis and I can’t put into words how much I appreciate it.”

“The comeback is always better than the setback”

Despite facing months of rehab and uncertainty over his 2026 schedule, Singleton made it clear that his mindset hasn’t changed.

“It’s going to be a long road to recovery and it’s not going to be easy but the comeback is always better than the setback,” he wrote. “I’ll be back to win more titles and when I win my next world level title it will just mean that much more to me.”

“I’m down but I’m not out,” Singleton wrote. “I’ll never give up.”

Singleton’s determination — and the outpouring of support from fans and fellow strongmen — suggests his eventual return will be one to watch.

For now, the focus is on recovery. But knowing Evan Singleton, it’s only a matter of time before “The T-Rex” roars back onto the competition floor.
