A fitness influencer has issued a chilling warning to her followers after receiving a disturbing note from a man who allegedly tracked her down at the gym.

TikTok creator Fiona Daisy Mae, who has over 180,000 followers, is known for sharing upbeat fitness content and everyday lifestyle videos. But this week, she shared something very different — a story she says left her too scared to leave her house.

“You always hear about crazy stories, but you never think it will happen to you,” Fiona said in a now-viral TikTok. “I’m a go lucky person, and I never think anything bad is gonna happen ever.”

That optimism took a hit when, as she put it, “something really scary happened.”

According to Fiona – who also boasts over 395,000 followers on Instagram – a man she didn’t know showed up at her gym, having purchased a day pass, and left a rose and a handwritten note for her at the front desk.

At first, she thought little of it. “I didn’t really think anything of it,” she said. “Probably just a fan.”

But as she looked closer at the note and the name on it, something didn’t feel right. Fiona decided to check out his social media — and what she found made her blood run cold.

“The most recent message that he had sent was, ‘I’m outside of the gym,’ while I’m there, at night,” she said.

Things only got darker from there. Fiona claimed the man posted a Snapchat video asking if she’d seen the rose and saying he was waiting for her in the bathroom.

She then discovered he had been “showing up to apartments” in her area and giving residents flowers — a pattern that sounded all too familiar.

“He’s been showing up to the gym hoping that I’m there, waiting in the parking lot,” she added.

i really debated not telling anyone this because i’m still scared. but at the same time there are so many people on social media posting at their gym/areas around them. always be cautious of everything. you never know who’s watching you or viewing your stuff. it’s genuinely a scary world we live in and i’ve spent so much time being nieve about it until this happened.

Alarmed, Fiona took screenshots of the messages, blocked his account, and thought that might be the end of it. But within hours, she said he created a new account and added her again.

“He said, ‘I’m driving around town going crazy’ because I blocked him,” she told followers.

Now, Fiona says she’s been too frightened to go anywhere alone.

“I literally have not left my house at all,” she admitted. “I told the police, but I don’t really know what’s going to happen.”

In her caption, she explained why she decided to speak out despite her fear:

“I really debated not telling anyone this because I’m still scared. But at the same time there are so many people on social media posting at their gym or areas around them. Always be cautious of everything. You never know who’s watching you or viewing your stuff. It’s genuinely a scary world we live in and I’ve spent so much time being naive about it until this happened.”

Her message to others was clear — think twice before sharing your location or routines online, especially in real time.

“Always be smart about your surroundings, what you’re posting, what you’re doing 24/7,” she urged.

Fiona’s video quickly drew an outpouring of support — and alarm — from her followers.

One user wrote: “This is why I don’t post real time anymore.” Another added: “You need to change gyms for your own safety.”

A third warned: “Over sharing on social — while it is an innocent thing to do and has been normalised — is actually quite dangerous.”

A fourth echoed the fear many women share: “It’s so crazy that this is the reality for a lot of women. I literally don’t post anything real time. Even if it’s just a picture of my pets. Everything is delayed.”

Sadly, as the comments reflected, Fiona’s story is not only a growing concern for many people, but it serves as a sobering reminder of how quickly online familiarity can cross into real-world danger — and why even harmless “day in the life” posts can reveal more than you really want to.

For Fiona, it’s a lesson learned the hard way — and one she hopes others won’t have to experience for themselves.
