Alexander Mercieca is no ordinary gym goer.

While many of us go to the gym, lift some weights, and maybe, just maybe, do a little bit of cardio, Alexander is taking it to a whole new level.

You see, as well as his love for the gym, he is also a Bassist and Singer for the band Buck’d Up, and a Certified CrossFit Trainer.

If you’ve ever found your way to Alexander’s social media pages, you’ll have seen that he does some insanely impressive things, which usually involve lifting weights while playing music.

And this time is no exception, except that there is an added reason why he has released this video.

Posting on his Instagram, Alexander shared a video of himself bench pressing a bar… with his wife sitting on top of it.

He wrote: “My wife sent me a video of some folks bench pressing their wife’s so I had to figure out a way to be extra. Figured singing some DMX and playing the piano with my feet was the only option.”

And he did just that… He benched his wife while playing piano with his feet.

But there was an added reason for the video, as Alexander is seeking to secure the money needed to fund his wife’s cancer treatment.

He wrote: “So yeah, she’s bald in the video since she’s a couple months deep in chemo treatments. Hopefully this one will get some numbers on TikTok so I can offset some of these cancer treatment medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance.”

Jenny Mercieca is currently battling stage 3 breast cancer and is raising money to fund her treatment. Her GoFundMe currently has $8,339 in donations out of a $10,000 target.

People who viewed the video were naturally very impressed, with one person writing: “This is a level of masculinity I fear I’ll never reach.”

A second person said: “This has to be the only unique experience in the history of man.”

While a third person added: “This is an insane amount of coordination and an excellent use of free will.”

We wish Jenny all the best with her treatment, and we can’t wait to see what Alexander gets up to next!
