Big John Fisher has shown off the remarkable progress he has made after losing more than 42kg, sharing a topless transformation photo as his health journey continues with the help of Eddie Hall.

The popular father of heavyweight boxer Johnny Fisher has been documenting his efforts to overhaul his lifestyle in recent months, and his latest Instagram update offered perhaps the clearest indication yet of just how much has changed.

Fisher shared an image of himself standing topless, while other pictures in the carousel showed him swimming in the pool as he continues to make exercise a regular part of his routine.

Despite the significant weight loss, Big John was typically straightforward about where he currently stands.

“I am still fat but feeling so much better after losing over 42kg. Early morning swim lets av it”

Crucially, his approach has not involved completely giving up the things he enjoys.

Fisher revealed he had enjoyed a meal the previous evening while staying at Homewood Bath, explaining that being able to continue enjoying food remains important to him.

“Had a lovely meal last night too here at a great hotel @homewoodbath so I’m still enjoying my food which is importsnt to me.”

A major influence throughout the transformation has been former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall.

Fisher has previously credited Hall with making him seriously reconsider his health after the pair met at a film premiere.

“Didn’t realise how overweight I had become until I bumped into Eddie Hall at a film premiere,” he previously said. “He said to me John if you don’t change your lifestyle you will be dead in 5 years.”

Fisher later summed up the impact of that conversation simply: “When Eddie talks you listen.”

His latest update once again highlighted Hall’s influence, with Fisher explaining that the strongman helped strip away some of the complexity surrounding improving his lifestyle.

“@eddiehallwsm has been an inspiration to me and just simplified so much it started making sense.

“Walking , saunas , swimming , less carbs , more meat , electrolytes , sleep it is all simple stuff”

Those straightforward changes have now helped Fisher lose more than 42kg, having previously revealed he started his journey at around 475lbs.

An earlier update showed the same emphasis on sustainable changes rather than extreme methods. His routine has included increasing his steps, fast walks, swimming, sauna sessions, reducing carbohydrates, cutting back on takeaways, sugar and alcohol, and attending regular doctor check-ups.

The results are now increasingly visible, but Fisher clearly has no intention of treating the latest transformation photo as the finish line.

“Still got a long way to go but at least I’m on the right path

“Bosh”
