Saturday’s fight between Tommy Fury and KSI may have taken on new meaning after a shocking and chaotic open workout on Wednesday night.
KSI (real name Olajide Olatunji) and Tommy are set to face each other at the AO Arena in Manchester in what is rapidly becoming a grudge match for the ages.
After working out in front of the fans and cameras, Tommy stopped for an interview with dad John in tow. Unfortunately they were interrupted by a confident KSI goading them from a balcony upstairs.
After trading insults, John Fury lost his patience and threw a bottle at KSI, forcing the Youtuber-turned-boxer to duck for cover. KSI then leaned over the balcony and spat in John’s direction – which incensed Fury Snr.
The pair continued their slagging match as security stepped in, adding more fuel to the fire ahead of Saturday’s showcase event.
This is not the first time since the fight was announced that John Fury and KSI have crossed swords. The first press conference for the fight in August also ended in drama when John flipped and smashed tables.
He subsequently apologised the following day via video, admitting that his behaviour was “unacceptable”.
Fans of Tommy Fury – who remained cool, calm and collected throughout the mad exchange – will be hoping this latest round of insults fuel him to a win on Saturday night.
