WWE star Zoey Stark has shared a deeply personal milestone with fans, revealing that she’s been baptised in the Christian faith while continuing her recovery from a serious knee injury.
Posting on social media, Stark uploaded a short video of the ceremony, where she can be seen being immersed in water while wearing a T-shirt that read, “I have decided.” The post drew immediate support from the wrestling community, with fellow performers and fans alike congratulating her on the emotional moment.
Among those in attendance was AEW’s Brian Cage, who appeared alongside his family. Cage later posted about the experience himself, saying he was grateful to be part of such an important day for Stark.
“I was glad to be there for Zoey’s baptism and celebrate her decision,” Cage shared in his post.
Stark captioned her own post: “Thank you Jesus”.
“God is so good!! Love you Zo,” wrote Ivy Nile. And Lash Legend commented: “So happy for you!!! God is so good.”
“I’m so happy for you sis,” wrote Raquel Rodriguez.
Stark’s baptism puts her in good company among wrestlers who have spoken openly about their Christian beliefs. Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Kurt Angle, Chad Gable, and The Undertaker have all shared how their faith has influenced their careers and personal lives. Michaels famously became a born-again Christian in the early 2000s ahead of his WWE comeback, while Hogan called his own baptism in 2023 “the greatest day of [his] life.”
For Stark, this new chapter comes during a forced break from the ring. The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion suffered a knee injury in May 2025 during a Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match against Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley. The incident occurred when Stark attempted a missile dropkick but landed awkwardly, causing her knee to buckle. Reports at the time suggested that WWE expected her to miss the remainder of the year while recovering.
Despite being sidelined, Stark has remained active online. She recently addressed an AI-generated video that falsely claimed she had retired, setting the record straight that she has no plans to walk away from wrestling.
Instead, she’s taking her recovery one step at a time — and now, she’s doing so with renewed faith.
