Eddie Hall is getting back in the ring — and while the date and promotion are now locked in, one big question still hangs over the announcement: who exactly will he be fighting?
The former World’s Strongest Man has confirmed that his next bout is just around the corner, with an official reveal expected imminently.
“I’ve got my own fight getting announced next week,” Hall told Louie The Reporter while speaking at Gorilla Promotions 2.0 at the weekend. “I can’t say anything other than that.”
What he did confirm, however, is enough to get fans talking, adding: “It’s in June. Big fight coming up. It will be [Misfits].”
That alone signals a major crossover moment, with Hall stepping into the influencer-heavy Misfits Boxing scene — a platform known for blending social media personalities, MMA fighters, and unconventional matchups. And the timing is already set.
“I’ve got a fight coming up, June the 13th in Manchester,” Hall also told BobbyLAD. “That’ll be announced very, very soon.”
Hall, now 38, has steadily built a second career in combat sports since stepping away from elite strongman competition. After winning the World’s Strongest Man title in 2017, “The Beast” transitioned into fighting — first in boxing, then MMA.
He famously faced fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson in a high-profile boxing match in 2022, before making his MMA debut last year. And that debut didn’t last long (in a good way). Hall stopped veteran fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski in just 30 seconds, flattening the Polish strongman with brutal ground-and-pound. He also dominated the Neffati brothers in a 2-on-1 freak fight in the summer of 2024.
Since then, he’s been actively searching for his next challenge — and now it’s finally locked in.
“I want to get in there, of course I do,” he told Louie.
While Hall has confirmed the event, date, and promotion, he has deliberately avoided naming his opponent — which has only fueled speculation.
One name continues to dominate the conversation: Dillon Danis.
The two have been circling each other for months, trading words publicly and teasing a potential clash. Hall himself has made it clear he wants the fight. “I’ve been told the Dillon Danis fight will happen before the end of the year so, let’s make it happen,” he added.
He’s even gone as far as outlining the physical transformation he’s willing to undergo to make it happen, previously stating that he will drop below 300lbs – as per Danis’ request – in order to get in the cage with him. “If he signs that contract – well, we’ve already agreed it – so if he backs out, he’s an absolute f***ing ***, and I’ll never let him live it down,” he told TalkSPORT last year.
That being said, Hall is suggesting Danis may not be his immediate next opponent for June (despite the fight still appearing to firmly on the table for later this year). So , if it’s not Danis in June, then who?
Hall has hinted that other big names could be involved — including former UFC contender Darren Till. But once again stated that Till will be “in the conversations” AFTER his fight in June. “I imagine Darren Till will be in the conversations after that,” Hall recently told BobbyLAD.
Given Misfits’ track record, the card is likely to feature a mix of influencers, MMA veterans, and crossover athletes — making the possibilities wide open. Names like Chase DeMoor and Till have already been linked to the promotion, adding further intrigue to Hall’s mystery opponent.
Hall is currently starring in the third season of Inside UK on Netflix, and has a new feature documentary out later this year – once again reinforcing why he is the most popular strength athlete on social media. This aura and popularity certainly makes him a huge draw for Misfits — but with Hall’s size, power, and proven knockout ability, there’s nothing gimmicky about the threat he brings.
And with June 13 fast approaching, the only thing left is the name on the other side of the poster.
