There’s something about a fight that simply doesn’t make sense on paper that makes it impossible to ignore — and this one has exactly that energy.
During the chaos and crossover buzz of WrestleMania week, Logan Paul found himself weighing in on one of the strangest matchups in recent boxing memory: Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall.
And even for someone who’s built a career on spectacle, Paul couldn’t quite land on a clear winner.
Now firmly embedded in the WWE world as a tag team champion, Paul’s connection to Fury runs deeper than casual interest. His brother, Jake Paul, famously shared the ring with Fury in a huge 2023 showdown — a fight that elevated the Brit’s profile and still lingers as unfinished business for the Paul family.
But while that rivalry remains simmering in the background, attention has now shifted to something far more unpredictable.
On June 13, Fury returns to the UK to face a man who exists at the opposite end of the physical spectrum. Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, could outweigh Fury by as much as 120lb on fight night — a gap that instantly transforms the bout into something far beyond a traditional boxing contest.
Speaking on his Impaulsive podcast alongside Stephen A. Smith, Paul didn’t shy away from calling it exactly what it is.
A spectacle.
“Spectacle fight” was the label he landed on — and it fits. This isn’t just about records or rankings. It’s curiosity, pure and simple.
“So Tommy Fury, Tyson’s little brother, is fighting Eddie Hall, the former World’s Strongest Man who is probably 350-400lb and can deadlift 1,000lb,” Paul said.
Paul’s tone made it clear — even someone as seasoned in crossover chaos as him is intrigued by the unknowns here.
“I don’t think most people will ever meet someone in their life who is as strong as this individual. So I am actually curious what’s going to happen in a fight like that… This guy is actually not bad at boxing, Eddie Hall has been training boxing.”
That uncertainty is the entire selling point.
On one side, Fury — younger, technically sound, and coming off wins over KSI and Kenan Hanjalic across a three-year stretch. On the other, Hall — a human powerhouse with raw strength that few athletes on the planet can even comprehend.
Smith, approaching it from a more traditional boxing lens, leaned toward fundamentals.
He acknowledged Fury’s technical ability but questioned his finishing threat, suggesting that while the Manchester fighter has the skills to control distance, he may lack the power to end things emphatically.
In his view, Fury’s path to victory would be methodical rather than explosive — keeping Hall “at bay” rather than chasing a knockout.
And that’s where the intrigue sharpens.
Because this isn’t just about skill versus size — it’s about how those extremes collide under pressure.
Can textbook boxing neutralise overwhelming physical strength? Or does sheer mass and power eventually bend the rules?
Even Paul, who has shared the ring himself and understands the margins better than most influencers-turned-fighters, isn’t pretending to have the answer.
He’s watching like everyone else.
Closely.
