John Fury Fires Back At Carl Froch As He Sets Out Demands For Fight: ‘Let’s Get It On’

John Fury has thrown the gauntlet down once again — and this time he’s made it crystal clear what it will take to finally settle his long-running war of words with Carl Froch.

The outspoken Fury patriarch has spent months calling out the former super-middleweight king, with the feud bubbling away in interviews, podcasts and social clips. Now, after Froch publicly signalled he’s willing to accept the challenge, Fury says there’s only one thing standing between them and a showdown: £2.5 million.

That figure marks a major jump from a previously reported £1 million offer, but Fury insists the fight is still very much alive if the money is right.

“I’ll sign the dotted line. Let’s get it on!” Fury told Fight Your Corner.

“Get me a two-and-a-half million quid contract. We don’t need a long time away because at 61, I ain’t got that long. I want to make history I’ll be the first 61-year-old man in history to take on a three-time Hall of Famer in Carl Froch. I can’t wait.

“I’m bringing a lot into the ring because I’ve got my son there. I got Tommy there. Do you think I’m going to embarrass myself by not fighting? I’m fighting. It’s on like Donkey Kong.”

At 61, Fury is leaning heavily into the spectacle of the event, framing it as more than just another crossover bout. For him, it’s about legacy, pride and proving he can still back up the chaos he brings outside the ropes.

And chaos has never been far away.

Fresh off Tommy Fury’s win over Eddie Hall last weekend, John Fury wasted little time reigniting the fire with Froch — delivering another explosive verbal attack that quickly grabbed attention.

“He’s an embarrassment to Nottingham. Carl, the worm, Froch,” Fury said.

“You know the championship belts he won, don’t you? He wants to give them to somebody with a pair of nuts, because let me tell you, he’s no street fighter. I’m a street fighter. It took 20 men to hold me there tonight. There’s no 12 stone man, or 13 stone man, going to do any good with me.”

This time, Froch hasn’t brushed it off.

The former world champion, who previously agreed to the fight once before only for talks to collapse, has now doubled down and made his position brutally clear.

“I’m ready. I’m ready to fight. I’ve got I ain’t got a problem with putting a bully in his place,” Froch said on his YouTube channel.

“But it got serious because he asked Kalle [Sauerland] and Kalle said, ‘Listen, I can do the fight. No problem.’ He hasn’t priced himself out; not yet anyway, and it looks like he’s being serious. So, there’s a chance that this fight might actually get made if John doesn’t vanish like he did last time.

“So, John, listen up and listen closely because I want you to get this into your thick f***ing skull. This has been going on for too long now. I saw you punching a perspect picture on the wall the other day. Walls don’t hit back. You’re a f***ing bully. You started on Carl Frampton, started on Steve Bunce and you headbutted the smallest man in the room at the Usyk press conference. Listen, I’m ready to fight. You’ve called it on. I’m answering. I’m ready for you. Sign the fing contract or shut the f*** up.”

That response has only poured more fuel on what’s becoming one of British boxing’s strangest potential grudge matches.

Froch, a decorated former champion and Hall of Famer, versus Fury, the fiery father of two of Britain’s most recognisable fighting names.

On paper, it’s unconventional.

In reality, it might be exactly the kind of chaos fight fans can’t look away from.

The biggest question now is whether the money gets agreed — and whether Fury follows through.

Because if both men stay on course, this could quickly shift from internet back-and-forth to a genuine pay-per-view attraction.

And judging by the way they’re speaking, neither man looks interested in backing down.
