The undercard for Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall has undergone a late reshuffle — and one of the event’s biggest crossover names now has a fresh opponent locked in.
The June 13 card in Manchester was already attracting attention thanks to the unlikely main-event collision between former Love Island star Fury and ex-World’s Strongest Man Hall, but Misfits Boxing have now confirmed three changes to the supporting lineup.
At the centre of the shake-up is two-time Olympic Taekwondo gold medallist Jade Jones, who continues her transition into combat sports entertainment under the Misfits banner.
Jones had originally been scheduled to face Alaena “Vampira” Potocnik, but that bout is no longer taking place.
Instead, the Welsh Olympic icon will now take on Argentine creator and athlete FederiKita in Manchester as she looks to build on an explosive promotional debut.
The 33-year-old made an immediate impact in her first appearance with an emphatic knockout victory and is now returning on one of Misfits’ biggest commercial cards of the year.
Despite the late opponent switch, Jones will still head into the contest as one of the standout names on the bill and a strong favourite to produce another statement performance.
The former Olympic champion appears more than ready for the challenge.
She wrote on social media: “It’s time to go again! WAR mode activated. A lot closer to home for all my friends, family and supporters to come and watch. Can’t wait to get back out there and perform!”
Jones’ inclusion adds another layer of mainstream appeal to a card already packed with influencers, crossover athletes and social media personalities from across the globe as Misfits continue pushing their worldwide expansion.
The undercard alterations do not stop there either.
In another fresh addition to the event, Szabo will now face Tina Snows in a newly announced female clash.
Meanwhile, Khallas Karim has also been added to the lineup and is set to take on Luke Nevin in what will serve as the evening’s opener.
The changes continue Misfits Boxing’s fast-moving approach to matchmaking, where late switches and new additions have become almost expected ahead of major events.
But while the undercard continues to evolve, much of the conversation still circles back to the headline attraction between Fury and Hall.
On paper, Fury enters as the favourite.
The younger man possesses a far superior boxing pedigree and significantly more ring experience, while Hall remains relatively inexperienced inside the ropes despite his combat sports ambitions.
Yet Hall’s sheer size and physical strength have made him an intriguing wildcard.
The former Strongman champion has reportedly been making tactical changes throughout camp in an attempt to maximise his explosive power ahead of the fight.
Still, Fury insists muscles alone will not win boxing matches.
Speaking ahead of the showdown, Fury dismissed the idea that Hall’s enormous frame will intimidate him.
He said: “Eddie’s got muscles all over his body, but you can’t put muscles on chins. And that’s what I’m about to expose. We’ve got good big men in the ring all the time.
“But what’s different is that muscles can’t hit the chin, and I’m looking to find that chin. I’m going to show Eddie on June 13 that size does not matter.”
It is the kind of confident prediction fans have come to expect from Fury, who knows a dominant win over Hall would strengthen his growing profile in crossover boxing.
For Hall, however, the fight represents a chance to shock the combat sports world.
The former World’s Strongest Man has repeatedly backed himself to produce a huge upset despite entering as the underdog, and his raw power remains the biggest unknown heading into fight night.
