Big John Fisher has shared another encouraging update on his remarkable health transformation, revealing the simple lifestyle changes that have helped him become “just a bit less fat” while crediting Eddie Hall for changing the course of his life.

The larger-than-life father of heavyweight boxer Johnny Fisher has become a hugely popular figure thanks to his infectious personality and trademark “BOSH!” catchphrase. But behind the humour, Fisher has been quietly working to overhaul his health after receiving some brutally honest advice from former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall.

In his latest Instagram post, Fisher explained that his focus is no longer simply about losing weight, but becoming healthier and far more active.

He wrote: “Small changes make big differences.”

Fisher went on to explain exactly what has changed in his day-to-day routine.

“Thanks to @eddiehallwsm talking sense into me I am slowly but surely improving my life.”

His current approach centres around consistency rather than complicated diets or extreme training methods.

According to Fisher, his routine now includes two fast walks every day, increasing his daily step count, swimming, regular sauna sessions, electrolytes and protein shakes from Beast Pharm, cutting back on carbohydrates, eating more meat and dairy products, reducing takeaways, lowering both sugar and alcohol intake, and attending regular doctor check-ups.

He also admitted he still enjoys the occasional indulgence, adding that his Chinese takeaway has changed dramatically.

“Meats only from the Chinese.”

Summing up his philosophy, Fisher wrote: “This is what I am doing to not only lose weight but generally just get healthier. Yes I’ve lost weight but for me it’s more about how much more active I am and I am still fat just a bit less fat.

“Simple stuff really and I do feel a lot more healthier all thanks mainly to @eddiehallwsm. Bosh.”

The latest update is another milestone in a journey that began after an unforgettable conversation between Fisher and Hall at a film premiere.

As Fisher previously revealed, it was Hall’s blunt warning that forced him to confront the reality of his health.

“Didn’t realise how overweight I had become until I bumped into Eddie Hall at a film premiere,” he said. “He said to me John if you don’t change your lifestyle you will be dead in 5 years.”

The message clearly struck a chord.

“When Eddie talks you listen,” Fisher previously admitted.

Over the past several months, that conversation has developed into a complete lifestyle overhaul rather than a short-term weight-loss challenge.

Earlier this year, Fisher revealed he had already lost 36kg (79lbs) after starting his journey at around 475lbs, explaining that Hall’s guidance came after he had already begun making positive changes himself.

The former World’s Strongest Man has experienced his own dramatic body transformation over the years, making him uniquely placed to offer advice on managing extreme bodyweight while improving long-term health.

Rather than promoting quick fixes, Fisher’s latest update reinforces the message that lasting progress often comes from building sustainable habits.

Walking more. Swimming. Eating better. Cutting back on alcohol and sugar. Staying consistent.

It’s a refreshingly honest approach from a man who has long been associated with enormous takeaway feasts and larger-than-life food content.

Now, the focus has shifted.

Fisher is still quick to poke fun at himself, insisting he is “still fat just a bit less fat,” but his latest post makes it clear that the biggest victory isn’t the number on the scales.

For Big John, becoming healthier, more active and improving his quality of life has become the real goal.

And judging by his latest update, the transformation is showing no signs of slowing down.
