The 2025 Rogue Invitational delivered another unforgettable weekend of strength, skill, and spectacle — this time from Aberdeen, Scotland. Across two days of competition, the world’s strongest men and women went head-to-head through six brutal events designed to test every aspect of power, endurance, and grit.
At the centre of it all stood Mitchell Hooper, who once again proved why he’s the benchmark in modern Strongman. The Canadian powerhouse captured his third consecutive Rogue Invitational title, cementing his dynasty with a blend of consistency, composure, and outright dominance. From his massive opening lift in the Wagon Wheel Deadlift to a flawless finish in Mon’s Meg, Hooper stayed composed under pressure and fended off every challenge from Trey Mitchell and hometown hero Tom Stoltman, and took home the $100,000!
On the women’s side, Inez Carrasquillo completed a near-perfect campaign of her own, taking three event wins and never placing outside the top three on her way to a commanding overall victory, and taking home $100,000! Her mix of explosive pressing strength and speed in the moving medleys made her untouchable — and confirmed her place among the sport’s elite.
By the time the dust settled on the final event, the Aberdeen crowd had witnessed history — two champions at the peak of their powers, both redefining what it means to be strong.

Event Four — Circus Press Medley
Day two of the Rogue Invitational kicked off with one of the most technically demanding challenges on the schedule — the Circus Press Medley. Combining kettlebells, Cyr bells, and the monstrous circus bar, it forced athletes to balance raw power with rhythm and coordination.
Among the men, the showdown everyone expected finally delivered. Trey Mitchell and Mitchell Hooper went head-to-head for the event win, with both athletes completing six reps before hitting their limit. The difference came down to seconds, as Mitchell locked out his final press slightly quicker to edge Hooper and maintain momentum in the overall standings. Behind them, Lucas Hatton impressed once again with five solid reps, while Thomas Evans and Tom Stoltman rounded out the top five.
In the Strongwoman division, Inez Carrasquillo added to her growing legend. She cruised through the implements with unmatched control to complete eight reps — a clear event win that reinforced her overall lead. Andrea Thompson continued her climb up the leaderboard with a steady second-place finish, edging out Olga Liashchuk on a tiebreak. Angelica Jardine matched their rep count but couldn’t quite match the speed of the top two, while Melissa Peacock and Samantha Belliveau picked up key points in the mid-table battle.
The medley highlighted the difference between brute strength and refined overhead technique, and Carrasquillo’s and Mitchell’s performances once again showed why they’re two of the most well-rounded pressers in modern strong sport.
Event Five — Power Drive
The penultimate test of the competition was the Power Drive, a brutal push-and-pull medley that mixed sheer leg drive with total body fatigue. Athletes first had to shove a heavy hay bale replica across the floor before switching to a punishing sled pull to the finish line — a true test of explosiveness and stamina.
In front of a roaring home crowd, Tom Stoltman delivered a signature performance to claim his first event win of the weekend. His mix of power and speed made the 750-pound implement look effortless as he crossed the line well ahead of the field. Mitchell Hooper secured second, clawing back vital points on Trey Mitchell, who struggled slightly with the heavy sled and finished down the order. The tight mid-pack race saw Thomas Evans, Rayno Nel, and Austin Andrade all separated by mere seconds.
Over in the women’s ranks, Inez Carrasquillo made it back-to-back event victories with another clinical display. After watching her rivals carefully, she stormed through the course to take the win by a comfortable margin and stretch her overall lead. Rebecca Roberts produced her best result of the competition to take second place, to the delight of the Scottish crowd, while Olga Liashchuk held off Lucy Underdown to secure third. Further down the table, several athletes were caught by the time cap — a reminder of just how demanding the Power Drive can be when fatigue sets in.
With one event left to go, both divisions now had clear favourites but little breathing room. Carrasquillo looked almost untouchable heading into the finale, while in the men’s field, Hooper’s late surge had set up a final-day showdown with Mitchell that promised to be every bit as intense as the events themselves.
Event Six — Mon’s Meg Stones
The 2025 Rogue Invitational came to a dramatic close with the Mon’s Meg Stones, a Scottish twist on the classic Atlas Stone series. Paying homage to the historic siege cannon of Edinburgh Castle, the final event demanded that athletes lift and load a sequence of stones — ranging from 195 to 285 pounds for the women, and 253 to 400 pounds for the men — in the shortest time possible. It was the ultimate test of explosive power, grip endurance, and composure under pressure after two grueling days of competition.
In the Strongwoman division, Hannah Linzay capped off her breakout weekend in stunning fashion by taking the event win. Moving with precision and power, she completed her stone run in 22.83 seconds, the fastest of the field. Her balance of speed and control through the heavier stones secured her a clear victory in the finale and highlighted just how much her all-around game has evolved over the past year.
A rundown of Day One’s events can be seen below:
Event One — Wagon Wheel Axle Deadlift
The Rogue Invitational opened with a classic test of raw strength: the Wagon Wheel Axle Deadlift. Each competitor had three attempts to hit their heaviest possible pull on an elevated axle barbell, setting the early benchmark for the rest of the competition.
In the men’s division, Mitchell Hooper wasted no time showing why he’s a reigning World’s Strongest Man contender. After opening with a massive 1,000-pound (453.5kg) lift, he added another 50 pounds to seal the win at 1,050 pounds (476.3kg) — a perfect start to his weekend.
Austin Andrade wasn’t far behind, nailing 1,025 pounds (464.9kg) to secure second, while Lucas Hatton and Trey Mitchell tied for third at 975 pounds (442.3kg). With so many athletes hitting 950 pounds, it was clear the standard of strength in Aberdeen was sky-high.
Over in the women’s competition, Lucy Underdown once again proved her dominance in the deadlift, locking out 720 pounds (326.5kg) with such ease she didn’t even need a third attempt. Jennifer Lyle and Andrea Thompson tied for second at 700 pounds (317.5kg) — a strong statement from both seasoned pros.
Angelica Jardine (675lb) and Hannah Linzay (650lb) rounded out the top five, while Olga Liashchuk matched Linzay’s 650lb effort to keep herself in early contention.
Event Two — Viking Press
The second event of the day shifted from lower-body power to shoulder-crushing upper-body endurance. The Viking Press, featuring 360 pounds (163kg) for men and 225 pounds (102kg) for women, demanded not just strength but also precision and pacing over a 60-second rep battle.
In the men’s lineup, Trey Mitchell stole the spotlight with a perfectly timed performance. He started controlled, ramped up late, and smashed through 22 reps to take the win. Mitchell Hooper came in second with 18 reps, keeping himself well in the title race, while Bryce Johnson and Lucas Hatton shared third on 16 reps apiece.
Among the women, Inez Carrasquillo put on a show that fans will be talking about long after Aberdeen. She pressed 20 reps in 60 seconds — one of the most impressive Viking Press displays ever seen at Rogue. Angelica Jardine and Andrea Thompson followed with 18 reps each, tying for second in a tense showdown that saw Jardine lose momentum only in the final few seconds.
Olga Liashchuk claimed fourth with 13 reps, while Lucy Underdown and Hannah Linzay added 9 and 7 respectively, both grinding through fatigue to keep themselves alive in the standings.
Event Three — Yoke Escalator
The night closed with chaos and adrenaline — the Yoke Escalator, a medley combining a 1,050-pound (476kg) Yoke Carry with the brutal Power Stairs (500lb, 550lb, and 600lb implements for men; 650lb and 325lb variations for women). The goal: climb faster than anyone else without gassing out.
For the men, it was Paddy Haynes who stole the show. Despite the Yoke not being his strength, his sheer fitness and pacing made the difference. Haynes stormed through the course in 1:26.42, more than 30 seconds faster than anyone else — an extraordinary performance that stunned the field.
Trey Mitchell backed up his Viking Press win with another elite showing, finishing second at 1:58.85 after dominating the Power Stairs. Thomas Evans came in just behind him on 2:01.24, while Tom Stoltman (2:29.84) and Bryce Johnson (CAP+1) filled out the top five.
Mitchell Hooper, who had led most of the run, hit a heartbreaking snag when he failed to lift the final 600-pound implement, registering a CAP+2 and losing valuable points in the process.
For the strongwomen, it was Olga Liashchuk who conquered the chaos. In what became a lightning-fast showdown, she found her rhythm early and maintained it all the way to the top. Her time of 45.48 seconds was comfortably the best of the night, sealing maximum points and catapulting her to the top of the overall standings.
Right behind her, Hannah Linzay powered through the course with incredible consistency. Her mix of balance and composure saw her finish in 50.26 seconds, narrowly edging out Inez Carrasquillo by just 0.02 seconds — a tiny margin that cost Inez a vital point after she slipped momentarily on the Power Stairs.
Further down, Melissa Peacock also impressed, finishing just behind the top three on 50.84 seconds, while Jennifer Lyle crossed the line in 58.68. The event was brutal and technical — and it shuffled the leaderboard completely heading into day two.
With six demanding events wrapped up, the 2025 Rogue Invitational will be remembered as one of the most competitive editions yet. Hooper’s third straight title puts him in truly elite company, joining the ranks of Strongman greats who’ve managed to dominate across multiple seasons. His cool-headed execution and ability to perform when it matters most once again set the standard for the rest of the field.
For the women, Carrasquillo’s statement victory highlighted a new era of power and professionalism within Strongwoman — a performance built not only on strength but on precision and control.
Until next year!
