Eddie Hall Reveals His Two Dream MMA Opponents As He Calls Out UFC Legend

Eddie Hall has made it very plain what kind of fights he’s hunting next: big, theatrical, and pay-day heavy.

The former World’s Strongest Man — who celebrated an impressive 30-second knockout of Mariusz Pudzianowski back in April — recently filmed a new video with karate expert Jesse Enkamp. During their meeting, Hall revealed that he’s chasing two names in particular, and none of them are about climbing a UFC ladder.

Hall’s wish list starts with a blockbuster many fans have whispered about: Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar hasn’t fought in mixed martial arts since outpointing Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in July 2016, and the former UFC heavyweight champion recently made a shocking return to WWE with no sign he plans to step back into real fights. Still, Hall made his intentions clear.

Hall spoke directly: “Brock Lesnar, f***ing bring those gloves back up, buddy. Me and you. ‘The Beast’ versus ‘The Beast’, let’s go!”

Lesnar most recently wrestled John Cena in one of the latter’s final matches before his retirement. at WWE’s WrestlePalooza event back in September.

“‘They always say, ‘Be careful what you wish for.’ That’s definitely one of those moments,” Hall added, acknowledging the risk alongside the bravado. “He’s a hard b*****d.”

But for Hall, calling out Lesnar is the kind of line that sells tickets — and that’s exactly the point. Hall told Enkamp he’s not trying to build a ranking or chase belts; he’s after “money fights” and spectacle. That’s why Pudzianowski was so high on Hall’s list for his professional debut.

“I perhaps want one, maybe two more fights, and that’ll do me,” Hall said. “It’s the money fights to put it blankly. I want to fight the Mariusz Pudzianowskis’. I want to fight the Bob Sapps’. I wanna get paid. I’m not here to get a fight ranking. I don’t care about being the UFC number one. I don’t care.

Bob Sapp, who recently announced a return to MMA at 51, represents the kind of freak-show clash that draws eyes even when competitive credibility is thin.

Currently, however, Hall is in the midst of a rivalry and potential fight with Dillon Danis, following the latter’s 15-second submission win at Misfits 22, and the two shook on a catchweight plan. Danis’ usual walking weight sits near 180lb — but Hall has agreed to a dramatic drop so a bout can happen.

“He’s been talking s** for a long time, making snide comments on social media, so I thought I’d put my money where my mouth is,” Hall told Bloody Elbow.

“He wanted me to get under 400lb, which I am, so I said I’d get under 300 if he shakes my hand there and then, which he did. So give me 12 weeks to lose 64lb and I will come in and rock his f—ing chin.

“Honestly, I just need one good shot on his face, and he’ll regret shaking my hand.”

That compromise — a commitment to drop 64lb to hit a sub-300lb limit — underlines how Hall is willing to put his body on the line for these high-profile matchups. For Hall, the goal is simple: big names, big money, and the kind of spectacles that blur the lines between sport and entertainment.
