Joey Swoll has once again taken to social media to call out a gym-goer — and this time, it’s not about bad lifting etiquette or mocking someone else’s workout. Now, the drama has unfolded off the gym floor and in the changing room.

The self-styled “CEO of Gym Positivity” has blasted a man online after he shared what Swoll called a completely unacceptable changing room selfie.

The image, posted to social media, shows the gym-goer posing in a black vest and a pearl-look beaded necklace. Behind him, however, another man can clearly be seen getting changed — and not just getting changed, but fully naked.

The original selfie-taker captioned the post: “Can someone cut him out?”

Considering how easy it is to crop images these days, it can be argued that the selfie was shared simply to humiliate the man. Additionally, there’s the GLARING issue of photographing somebody without their consent in a changing room.

That post quickly caught Joey Swoll’s attention, and he didn’t hold back. Reposting a censored version of the image to X, Swoll wrote: “Don’t take photos in the locker room especially when people are changing. I had to add the [hexagon]. WTF is wrong with you? They need to ban you.”

Swoll says the red hexagon emoji covering the naked man’s body wasn’t part of the original upload — meaning the person’s privacy had already been completely violated before Swoll stepped in.

Commenters on X agreed. One wrote: “’Can someone cut him out?’ How about just don’t take your gym selfie in the locker room. This is illegal and distasteful.”

Another said: “I hope the guy presses charges.”

“This dude is a clown and should be banned from the gym,” wrote another.

Others echoed the same outrage, with one user adding: “I can do one better, don’t f**king take your phone out of the bag and leave it in the locker. Or just use it for playing music, I guess.”

Others backed Swoll’s call for a gym ban, with one X user adding: “It’s bizarre to think it’s okay to take a camera out in a locker room.”

While the exact location of the incident isn’t confirmed, the image appears to have come from a US gym. Laws around this kind of content are strict — more than 30 states have rules against sharing sexually explicit or private images without consent.

In the UK, it’s also a criminal offence to take photos of someone naked without their permission, no matter the context.

Unbelievably, Swoll has once again had to call out another gym-goer for recording footage in a changing room – once again with an innocent bystander being filmed without their consent.

“THIS GYM NEEDS TO KICK YOU OUT,” Swoll captioned the video – which can be seen below:

Swoll has made countless headlines for defending privacy and gym etiquette online. Known for his outspoken style, he’s built a huge following by calling out what he sees as toxic behaviour in fitness spaces — whether that’s filming people without consent, mocking beginners, or posting content that crosses serious legal and moral lines.

For Swoll, the message is simple: leave the phone in your locker, respect everyone’s space, and remember that a quick selfie is never worth crossing that line.
