Brian Shaw’s dramatic body transformation has reached another milestone.

Just days after revealing the progress of his ongoing 10-week transformation challenge, the four-time World’s Strongest Man has now shared a new video showing himself inside a posing room for the very first time.

For an athlete whose career was built around brute strength rather than aesthetics, it’s a striking moment.

Shaw has spent decades carrying the immense size needed to dominate Strongman competition, becoming one of the most successful athletes the sport has ever seen. But since retiring from elite competition, he’s set himself a completely different challenge — getting leaner than ever before.

The latest video offers perhaps the clearest sign yet of just how far that journey has come.

Standing under the bright posing room lights, Shaw shows off a noticeably leaner physique, with far more definition across his upper body than fans became accustomed to during his Strongman career. The setting itself also represents unfamiliar territory for the 43-year-old, who admitted it was his first experience stepping into a room typically associated with bodybuilding competitions.

Sharing the clip on social media, Shaw wrote: “HARD WORK PAYS OFF. First time stepping into a posing room… I think I might need @jaycutler to teach me a proper routine.”

The light-hearted reference to four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler quickly caught the attention of fans, with many praising Shaw’s progress as his transformation continues.

The update follows another major checkpoint in Shaw’s journey.

Only recently, he revealed that six weeks of disciplined training and nutrition had already produced dramatic changes, including the emergence of visible abdominal definition—something rarely associated with the former World’s Strongest Man during his competitive career.

That progress hasn’t happened by accident.

Shaw has completely overhauled both his training and diet as part of his 10-week challenge, moving away from the enormous calorie intake and size-focused approach that fuelled some of the heaviest lifts ever seen in Strongman.

Instead, every meal is carefully tracked, cardio has become a daily priority, and carbohydrates have been significantly reduced compared to what he previously consumed.

Despite still eating more than 4,000 calories per day—an amount that would seem extraordinary to most people—Shaw has repeatedly explained that it represents a huge reduction compared to the nutrition required to maintain his competition weight.

He’s also admitted the mental side of the process has been one of the biggest challenges, joking previously that he’d much rather be finishing his evenings with cheesecake than another protein shake.

But throughout the challenge, Shaw has remained focused on achieving something he has never managed before: dropping below 10 percent body fat.

The latest posing room video suggests he’s continuing to move in exactly the right direction.

While bodybuilding-style posing is a completely different world from Strongman, stepping into that environment highlights just how much his goals have evolved since walking away from professional competition.

It’s also another reminder of the remarkable adaptability of elite athletes.

For years, Shaw built one of the largest and strongest physiques in sport because his discipline demanded it. Now, that same dedication is being applied in the opposite direction—trading maximum mass for conditioning, definition and body composition.

With time still remaining in his transformation challenge, fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see how lean Shaw can become by the time the process is complete.

If his latest appearance in the posing room is anything to go by, the former World’s Strongest Man is edging ever closer to reaching a physique that would have seemed almost unimaginable during the peak of his Strongman career.
