At 15 years old, Bubba Pritchett is already moving the sort of weight most people would be happy to simply watch from a safe distance.

The teenage Strongman sensation has been turning heads with a remarkable series of strength feats, but footage of Pritchett deadlifting a massive 285kg (625lbs) offers another glimpse at just how powerful he has become.

And considering his age, fans are already looking well beyond what he is capable of right now.

The video shows Pritchett stepping up to the bar before successfully hauling 285kg from the floor, adding another seriously impressive lift to a growing collection.

People were naturally impressed, with one person writing: “This kid is something else. Gonna be doing 550 kg in 10 years.”

While another said: “Youngest 1000 pounds deadlifter coming.”

It is the latest chapter in an extraordinary progression for the youngster.

By the age of nine, Pritchett was already deadlifting 250lbs. Just one year later, he had pushed that figure up to 275lbs.

Fast-forward to 15 and he is now pulling 625lbs.

Unsurprisingly, performances like this have led to enormous expectations surrounding his future, with fans tipping Pritchett to eventually go after the deadlift world record within the next decade.

Whether that happens remains to be seen, but the teenager is certainly giving people plenty of reasons to keep watching his development.

Deadlifting huge numbers isn’t the only way Pritchett has demonstrated his strength, either.

He recently stunned fans with a 300lb (135kg) overhead press, prompting Strongman Nick Best to comment: “Let’s go Bubba!!!”

Another person wrote: “Bubba this is great work man. Proud of ya brother.”

While another reaction summed up just how impressive the lift looked: “A legit press, too. No split jerking, as God intended. F*cking crazy.”

Pritchett has also demonstrated his power away from conventional gym lifts.

Footage previously emerged of him pushing a staggering 65,000lb fire truck, sparking another wave of attention around the teenage prospect.

“Without a doubt, the strongest 15-year-old on the planet!” one person commented.

Another joked: “If my car suddenly runs out of gas and I forget to fill it up, I know who to call for help.”

Even that wasn’t Pritchett’s first encounter with moving enormous vehicles.

At 14, he was filmed pulling a 25,000lb truck. After initially using a rope to generate momentum, Pritchett discarded it and continued dragging the vehicle forward.

For any athlete, producing one of those moments would be enough to attract serious attention.

Pritchett is beginning to collect them.

A 285kg deadlift at 15 is another major marker of where his strength currently stands, but perhaps the biggest source of excitement is how much time he potentially has to develop.

Fans are already talking about what Pritchett might be capable of in 10 years.

For now, though, 625lbs at 15 years old is more than enough to get people talking.
