Big John Fisher has revealed another major milestone in his ongoing weight loss journey, with the popular boxing personality now confirming he has shed an incredible 42kg.

Fisher, the father of heavyweight boxer Johnny Fisher, has been documenting his transformation over recent months after making significant changes to his lifestyle.

And his latest update shows just how far he has come.

Taking to X, Fisher revealed he has now lost 42kg, while making it clear that he has no intention of stopping there.

“42kg lost now of excess fat. Still fat but now feel lot healthier. Another 20kg to come off. Slowly but surely. Big thanks to [Eddie Hall] for literally saving my life. Bosh,” he wrote.

The update represents another significant step forward after Fisher previously revealed he had lost 36kg (79lbs), having started his journey at around 475lbs.

While the numbers are impressive, Fisher has repeatedly stressed that becoming healthier and more active has been more important to him than simply watching the scales go down.

His transformation has involved relatively straightforward lifestyle changes rather than any complicated approach.

Fisher previously explained that his routine includes two fast walks every day, more daily steps, swimming and regular sauna sessions. He has also incorporated electrolytes and protein shakes from Beast Pharm while reducing carbohydrates, takeaways, sugar and alcohol, alongside eating more meat and dairy products and attending regular doctor check-ups.

One person Fisher continues to credit heavily for his progress is former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall.

The pair crossed paths at a film premiere, where Hall delivered a warning that Fisher has since admitted changed his outlook.

“Didn’t realise how overweight I had become until I bumped into Eddie Hall at a film premiere,” he said. “He said to me John if you don’t change your lifestyle you will be dead in 5 years.”

Fisher’s response to the conversation was simple.

“When Eddie talks you listen.”

That message has clearly stayed with him.

Rather than treating his transformation as a short-term challenge, Fisher has continued making changes to his everyday routine and has previously spoken about feeling considerably more active as a result.

“Thanks to @eddiehallwsm talking sense into me I am slowly but surely improving my life.”

He has maintained the self-deprecating humour that helped make him such a popular figure with boxing fans, previously describing himself as “still fat just a bit less fat.”

But behind the jokes is a transformation Fisher is taking seriously.

With 42kg now gone and another 20kg targeted, his latest update suggests the same gradual approach remains firmly in place.

And Fisher’s newest message once again leaves little doubt about the role he believes Hall played in helping him make that change.

From a stark warning at a film premiere to Fisher now saying Hall “literally” saved his life, it has proved to be one conversation with potentially enormous consequences.

Slowly but surely, Big John is continuing to make progress.

Bosh.
