Former World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw recently dropped the mammoth news that he’s taking on a huge new challenge, becoming an MMA fighter.

Set for his debut fight in early 2024, Shaw released a series of videos on Instagram and YouTube designed to excite his army of fans – and it worked a treat.

Shaw fans went crazy in the comments on his teaser Instagram post, and if their enthusiasm is anything to go by, this fight is going to be crazy popular when it comes to pay-per-view.

One of Shaw’s 1.7 million Instagram followers was quick to encapsulate what it might be like to tackle him in the octagon: “Imagine getting mauled by a semi-truck wearing gym shorts.”

Another agreed with the sentiment, writing: “I’d rather break my own leg than fight Brian Shaw.”

Others were speculating about who Shaw might come up against in 2024, with some big names being dropped.

Instagram user theregoesiann had his say: “Jake Paul vs Brian shaw on PPV.”

But while fans were just throwing out names, one of the current strongman crop threw his hat into the ring to fight Shaw. Evan “T-Rex” Singleton came fifth in this year’s edition of World’s Strongest Man, and started a whirlwind of comments by simply writing, “I want the smoke.”

While only time will tell who gets the frightening task of taking on Shaw, some fans were just terrified at the prospect of Brian becoming the most dangerous man on earth.

User spiritual._sway wrote: “This has gotta be the most terrifying thing i’ve ever seen”

While ranioc0.1 concurred: “Brian as a mixed martial artist is wicked scary.”

Roll on 2024 and the big Brian Shaw debut.
