Brian Shaw decided to make his latest reunion with Eddie Hall a memorable one, arriving in the UK wearing a hilarious T-shirt featuring an almost unrecognisable photograph of his fellow strongman legend.

The four-time World’s Strongest Man winner travelled across the Atlantic to visit Hall, but rather than simply turning up and greeting his longtime friend, Shaw had something special planned.

And it involved a rather unfortunate photograph of the 2017 World’s Strongest Man champion.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Shaw revealed that he had prepared a custom black T-shirt featuring a picture of a beardless Hall eating Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

The photograph shows Hall looking considerably different from his familiar appearance, with Shaw clearly finding the image too amusing not to share.

But the American strongman wasn’t content with simply showing the shirt to his viewers.

He decided to wear it for the entire journey to the UK.

“I decided to break out Eddie’s favourite shirt,” Shaw joked while showing off his outfit.

He then explained why he had chosen that particular photograph of his friend.

“I mean, I like the way he looks really in it. Such a a candid shot of him,” he said.

Before leaving for the airport, Shaw’s unusual choice of clothing had already attracted some hilarious reactions.

And as he made his way through the airport, the shirt continued to draw attention from curious travellers.

At one point, Shaw was approached by someone who recognised him as a content creator and asked whether he was a bodybuilder.

Shaw explained that he had competed in strongman for many years before drawing attention to the photograph printed across his chest.

He revealed that the man pictured on the shirt was actually his friend, whom he was travelling to visit.

The joke became even funnier when Shaw admitted that Hall wasn’t particularly fond of the photograph.

“Like, not really, but I’m doing it on purpose, right?” he explained.

After eventually arriving in the UK, Shaw revealed that the shirt had received more attention than he had anticipated.

“Wore the shirt the entire way here. Got to say, a lot of looks,” he said.

He added that he had also received plenty of compliments, something that appeared to surprise him.

However, the T-shirt wasn’t the only surprise Shaw had prepared for Hall.

The American had also brought along matching clothing featuring the same amusing theme, ensuring his friend wouldn’t escape the joke quite so easily.

When the pair finally reunited, Shaw presented Hall with his gift, which included a 5XL top.

Hall immediately pointed out that the size was no longer appropriate for him.

“Not quite a 5XL anymore, Bri,” Hall joked.

Shaw responded by suggesting that the gift had been intended for a time when both men were considerably bigger.

“I meant I meant to give it to you a few years ago when we were a little bit bigger,” he replied.

Despite their achievements in a sport built around lifting extraordinary weights, Hall and Shaw have regularly demonstrated that they enjoy winding each other up just as much as competing.

And judging by the effort Shaw put into his latest prank, he clearly wasn’t going to let an international flight get in the way of embarrassing his friend.

For Hall, the reunion meant being confronted with an old photograph he’d probably rather forget.

For Shaw, it was apparently the perfect outfit for a trip across the Atlantic.
