Brooks Koepka and his wife Jena Sims have shared heartbreaking news with fans on social media.

On October 6, Sims revealed the devastating news that the couple suffered a miscarriage earlier this year, sharing their loss with fans in a deeply emotional Instagram post.
Sims, a model and actress, confirmed that she and Koepka — five-time major champion and one of golf’s most recognisable figures — lost their baby at 16 weeks. The couple, who married in June 2022, are parents to two-year-old son Crew.
Posting to her Instagram, Sims wrote candidly about the pain of losing a pregnancy and the heartbreak of saying goodbye before ever getting to say hello.
“At 16 weeks, we learned that our baby’s heart had stopped beating,” she shared. “This is a grief no parent is ever prepared for. We are devastated, but remain hopeful to give Crew a sibling one day.”
Sims accompanied her message with a series of intimate photos reflecting the couple’s journey through grief and resilience.
She went on to speak directly to other parents who’ve experienced similar loss, calling attention to how often pregnancy struggles go unspoken.
“Too often, these struggles happen in silence,” she continued. “There is still so much work and research needed to better understand and support women’s reproductive health. If you’re experiencing or have experienced pregnancy loss or infertility, please know you are not alone.”
Sims also made a heartfelt acknowledgement of the medical professionals who deal with such moments daily, saying: “Lastly, I want to recognise the doctors and nurses who must deliver this kind of heartbreaking news every day. It has to be the hardest part of their job, and I’m holding space in my heart for you too.”
The post was quickly flooded with messages of love and support. TV personality Kelsey Owens commented: “My heart hurts for you babe. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Wrapping you in love and prayers and thinking of your sweet baby.” Fellow golf star Tony Finau’s wife, Alayna, added simply: “Love you!”
The loss comes during what has been a demanding year for Koepka on the course. The 2025 season saw him compete in all four majors, finishing a strong T12 at the US Open but missing the cut in three others. He later placed 31st in the LIV Golf Individual Championship.
Just weeks before the announcement, the family was seen together at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where little Crew was spotted walking hand-in-hand with his dad across the Old Course at St Andrews. Koepka finished T15 at that weather-shortened DP World Tour event, following a solo fourth at the Open de France.
Sims’ decision to speak publicly about the loss has resonated widely within the golf community and beyond—offering comfort to those who’ve endured the same heartbreak, while breaking the silence that often surrounds miscarriage.
