A Yorkshire Strongman has taken his strength to extraordinary new heights after successfully pulling a train weighing a staggering 64 tonnes.
While most people would struggle to move a car without an engine, Stuart Lambert decided to take things several steps further by attempting to move an entire train using nothing but his own physical strength, per BBC News.
And incredibly, he managed to complete the challenge in less than a minute.
The remarkable feat took place at Yorkshire Wolds Railway in July 2026, where Lambert faced one of the toughest physical tests of his strongman career.
His challenge was to pull a train weighing 64 tonnes across a distance of 25 metres, relying on his strength to get the enormous vehicle moving.
The train consisted of a locomotive named Sir Tatton Sykes alongside a collection of freight wagons, making it a particularly daunting prospect even for an experienced strongman.
Despite the enormous weight involved, Lambert successfully completed the pull in just 54 seconds.
Footage of the achievement shows the Yorkshire athlete taking on a challenge that would seem almost impossible to the average person.
Moving something of that size is no ordinary feat, particularly when the task involves overcoming the initial resistance of such a heavy vehicle.
However, Lambert is certainly no stranger to testing the limits of human strength.
The Strongman has previously taken on a number of extraordinary pulling challenges involving some seriously heavy machinery.
His previous feats include pulling lorries, tractors, fire engines and even monster trucks.
Yet despite his experience with moving enormous vehicles, the 64-tonne train presented a particularly difficult challenge.
Lambert described the attempt as one of the toughest physical tests he has undertaken, highlighting just how demanding the railway challenge proved to be.
What makes the achievement even more impressive is the sheer scale of the object involved.
At 64,000kg, the train weighed considerably more than the vehicles typically associated with traditional strongman competitions.
Of course, pulling a vehicle on wheels is very different from lifting its entire weight off the ground, but getting something of that size moving still requires an extraordinary amount of force.
The challenge was also about more than simply demonstrating his strength.
Lambert’s attempt was connected to his charity fundraising efforts, giving the remarkable display an additional purpose beyond the physical achievement itself.
Strongman competitions have long featured athletes pulling enormous vehicles, but Lambert’s latest challenge demonstrates how spectacular these feats can become when taken outside the competition arena.
And while he has already tackled everything from tractors to monster trucks, successfully moving a 64-tonne train in under a minute is another extraordinary achievement to add to his collection.
For anyone wondering just how far human strength can be pushed, Lambert has provided another remarkable example.
